Paul Coldagelli Bio

Paul Coldagelli

Branch Manager, RJFS Financial Advisor, RJFS

Paul uses his extensive experience to help clients navigate the ups and downs of life and the markets. An advisor since 1993, he is devoted to creating a personalized client experience based on mutual respect and trust. He specializes in helping people who are transitioning to and living in retirement, using his knack for analysis to create retirement income strategies customized to the individual.

Down-to-earth and caring, he takes time to communicate complex financial concepts with stories and metaphors. “My mission is to support clients in living a life with purpose and contentment,” he says.

Paul originally found success in a career in banking, leading Barnett Bank of Florida’s efforts to market the nation’s first prepaid college tuition program. He was compelled to become an advisor in 1993, after a family member lost their life savings through bad advice. “I knew I wanted to help people invest. But I wanted to help them do it the right way,” he says. So Paul returned to his hometown roots in Wisconsin and went to work for an independent financial services firm in Milwaukee, where he helped design portfolios and spoke at financial seminars and client appreciation events. Seeking independence and broader support to best meet his clients’ needs, Paul established Wellspring Personal Financial Services, which is aligned with Raymond James Financial Services, in 2014. He finds great reward in servicing clients with old-fashioned values and being able to work alongside some pretty special people – your Wellspring team.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Paul attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Master of Arts degree, also in economics, and taught as a graduate student. It was through economics that Paul fulfilled his interest in both mathematics and social science. It is through his profession as a financial advisor, however, that Paul is able to fulfill what he feels is his spiritual calling – as part of his Christian faith – to help people make the most of the financial assets with which they are blessed.

Paul was born in Milwaukee and lives today in New Berlin with his wife, Paula. The couple has four sons, Ben, Matt, Josh and Michael, as well as four grandchildren. Paul is active in his church and previously taught Sunday school for more than 15 years. He volunteers as a mentor for economics students at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and has volunteered with a local high school’s Academic Decathlon team. Paul also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
