As the lead financial advisor for the Windward Financial Advisors, it is Chris’ job to evaluate and mitigate risk, manage investment positions, balance asset allocations and provide financial advice tailored for each individual client. As a student of behavioral finance, he knows his clients’ strategies have to take into account how they are likely to act as an investor, based on their background and worldview, in order to be effective.
Another differentiator in Chris’ approach to investing is his consideration of risk. Chris takes a broadminded view of where investment uncertainty lies and how it can impact performance. Accounting for risk in a market, sector or security alongside his clients’ individual and collective appetite for volatility informs the investment choices in portfolios Chris manages. He considers it his responsibility to look around corners on his clients’ behalf to help find and assess the factors capable of negatively impacting their investments.
Chris’ priorities are grounded in personal experience. Having watched his family struggle through financial instability that was in part caused by a myopic focus on certain risk factors, he got into the wealth management industry to help clients avoid the same mistakes. As a result, helping every client identify and articulate goals before setting a measured course for pursuing them is a personal matter for Chris.
