As our newest member, Samantha L. Phillips joined Hemenway Wealth Management as a practice marketing associate in June 2022. Sam’s passion for engaging with people, building meaningful relationships and providing a quality client experience has led her to our front door. Sam brings with her a robust background in personal, business and corporate banking. Beginning her financial career in 2014 with PNC Bank, she started in the customer care call center. Through hard work and dedication to both the organization and the client experience, she continued to elevate herself through the ranks of the company, eventually transitioning to corporate and institutional banking.

During her tenure, Sam supported multiple areas of PNC, including loan documentation, collateral and real estate due diligence, customer service, quality control assurance and regional underwriting.In 2019, Sam transitioned into a leadership position and was chosen for PNC’s exclusive Operations Development Excellence Program. Sam managed three unique departments while keeping customer focus and employee satisfaction at the forefront of her daily routine.

While employed with PNC, Sam was heavily involved in spearheading multiple initiatives tailored toward driving impactful change for corporate diversity and inclusion efforts. She co-led and developed several diversity and inclusion employee and executive councils, providing a space for employees and executives alike to share their thoughts and perspectives.

Sam graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with her associate degree in business administration.

Sam is passionate about volunteering, giving back and has been actively involved in the local community for years. She is also a board member of the YWCA of Kalamazoo.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
