George is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 1808 Capital Partners, an independent practice located in Greensboro, NC. George began his career in Financial Services following his undergraduate tenure at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2006 with Merrill Lynch. Working alongside David’s father, Ken Anderson, both George and David came to understand the importance of providing sophisticated investment advisory services centered around the needs of their clients. This client-centric attitude is something that motivates George, David, and their team, and was the driving factor behind their decision to form 1808 Capital Partners in 2017.

Originally from “Down East” North Carolina in a small town called Autryville, George is proud to call Greensboro home. He and his wife, Maggie, met while attending UNC-Chapel Hill. Maggie, originally from Greensboro, is a Pediatric physician with the regional health system, Cone Health. Maggie and George have two children, Millie and Max, and enjoy watching how much energy such tiny humans can exert. Spending time together as a family of four is a true joy for them, especially given the hectic nature of their day-to-day lives.

In his personal time, George can be found on a golf course or reading a book. Additionally, George is an avid tennis player, enjoys skiing, good food, and travel, especially with close friends and family. George’s favorite thing about North Carolina is that we have the crashing waves at the beach and the rolling Appalachian Mountains all in the same state…and just a mere 5 hours apart. He and his family enjoy spending time at both from their central location in Greensboro!
