For Colby, helping clients pursue financial well-being is a calling. As a Certified Financial Planner^™ professional, he takes the time to understand the big picture of his clients’ finances and find the straightest path forward. Compassionate and knowledgeable, he celebrates their milestones and helps them navigate the markets. He serves as a valuable resource to clients, taking pride in sharing industry insight as a trusted partner in his clients’ lives. In his role, Colby takes on wealth management, investment research, retirement and estate planning, as well as supporting the practice’s marketing and technology needs.

After earning a B.S. in finance and a B.A. in fine arts from Iowa State University, Colby joined the Abrahamson Investment Management Group in 2010 at RBC Wealth Management. He joined Raymond James along with the team in 2020, and appreciates that the firm’s client-first values align with his own.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Colby lives in Des Moines with his wife, Abigail, and their two miniature dachshunds. Colby is a member of the Des Moines Woodworkers Association, and when he’s away from the office you might find him cycling, cooking, entertaining, watching Michigan Wolverines football or woodworking.
