Kirk Abrahamson

Passion, persistence and vision are the common threads through Kirk’s more than three decades in the industry. Through comprehensive wealth management, he and his team help clients pursue their important financial goals and stay on the right track. Over the years, Kirk has gained specialized knowledge in serving business owners, retirees, pre-retirees and families. He offers customized planning, adaptive portfolio management and personalized service.

Kirk was drawn to the financial services field because of his interest in economics, finance and helping people. After he earned a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa, his career began at Merrill Lynch. He then spent more than a decade as an advisor at Piper Jaffray before joining RBC Wealth Management in 2002. In 2020 he joined Raymond James, drawn by the firm’s client-first philosophy.

Giving back to the community is a priority for Kirk. Since 2005, he has served as a board member on the finance and investment committees of UnityPoint Health. He also is a board member and golf committee chair for Wakonda Club.

Raised in Marshalltown, Iowa, Kirk has lived in the Des Moines area since 1986. He and his wife, Dianna, have two children: Kylie and Laney. In his spare time, Kirk enjoys golfing, basketball, and pickleball, as well as conducting investment research.
