Kaye is a native of Clinton, North Carolina and relocated to Asheboro in 1996 as Public Affairs Manager for twelve counties with CenturyLink where she retired in 2011 with thirty years of service.  She attended school at Atlantic Christian College, Sampson Community College and Johnston Community College.  Kaye currently works part-time with Advisors Financial Center and travels to Raleigh weekly to babysit her two grandchildren.  Her involvement in the community includes the following:

*Member of the Board of Trustees at Central United Methodist Church

*Chair of the Lillie Pearl Wood Nursing Scholarship Committee at Central United Methodist Church

*Member of the ad hoc committee to establish a permanent endowment for Central United Methodist Church

*Member of the Central United Methodist Women

*Member of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce where she served as chair of the board in 2008 and held several positions on the executive board and various committees

*Recipient of the “Volunteer of the Year” award for the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce

*Prior chair of the church council for Central United Methodist Church

*Prior member of the Randolph County United Way FEMA Board

*Prior President of the Randolph Community College Foundation Board of Directors

*Prior chair of the sponsorship committee for Randolph Community College Foundation annual fundraiser Dancing with the Stars

*Core member of the capital campaign for the renovation of the Sunset Theatre

*Prior President of the Board of Directors for Randolph County Senior Adults Association

*Prior President of the Advisory Board for the Salvation County Salvation Army

*Prior member of the Asheboro Rotary Club where she received the Paul Harris Fellow

Kaye has one daughter, Ashley Poole, who lives in Raleigh with her husband and two children.
