For Kevin, the most important aspect of a successful practice is a dedicated focus on client relationships. “We want to help our clients with every aspect of their lives,” he says.

Direct and empathetic, Kevin uses his years of experience to help clients plan for the now and for what’s ahead. “Our goal is for clients to lead happy, secure and fulfilling lives while helping them pursue their needs and wishes,” he says. But his team’s dedication goes beyond helping their clients – they want to help clients’ children and grandchildren as well, giving them a distinct focus on multigenerational planning.

Kevin first joined the financial services field in 1996 as a financial advisor and portfolio manager at VSR Financial Services. Four years later, he joined Piper Jaffray. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2019, Kevin worked as a first vice president and portfolio manager at RBC Wealth Management for 10 years. As for what attracted him to the business in the first place, Kevin says it was the opportunity to cultivate lasting relationships with clients while building on his passion for investment management. “I could happily spend the majority of every day researching, analyzing and managing investment portfolios,” he explains.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in finance and a minor in economics with an emphasis on accounting. He has been on the Orchard Place Foundation board since 2015 and is actively involved with a variety of other organizations, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Variety Club of Iowa, the American Red Cross, United Way of Iowa and the Boy Scouts of Iowa. He also served as a youth soccer coach from 2005 to 2015.

Kevin, a proud lifelong resident of Des Moines, Iowa, makes his home with his wife, Allison, and their daughters, Kate and Molly. When he’s not working or volunteering, you can find Kevin golfing, biking or jogging.
