A New Jersey native, Jerry holds a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Western Michigan University. After earning his degree, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. He attained the rank of commander before retiring in 1995 with 21 years of service.

Returning to civilian life, he began building a second career that would put his skills to work in the field of financial services. In the mid 1990s Jerry became an executive with a large securities firm, where he built an 11-year career before partnering with colleague, Troy Gibbs, to form Coast Wealth Management Group of Raymond James.

Jerry lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He has two grown children, a son and a daughter who both live in the Jacksonville, FL area. Jerry is active in the community, including teaching middle school students about stocks and investing. He combines his passion for golf with community service by chairing two local charity golf tournaments and managing a local golf league.

Jerry holds series 63, 65, 7, 9, and 10 licenses and various insurance licenses.
