Richard Palmer is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and founding partner of the DROP Consulting Group of Raymond James, with over $145 million in assets under management. He’s a thought leader and has published numerous articles on DROP in trade publications, newspapers, and magazines. He has hosted and conducted nearly 100 seminars in an attempt to inform, promote, and educate public sector employees on all aspects of DROP. He is a member of the Florida Fire Chiefs Association, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, and a sponsor of the annual FFCA and FPCA Annual Meetings. He is the author of the book DROP: The Definitive Guide, released in the Fall of 2020 by Penultimate Publishing, LLC.
A native of the Hudson Valley area of New York, Rick has been managing money for over 24 years and graduated with a degree in finance from Emory University, with distinction. He lives in Safety Harbor, Florida.
