Tim has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. The CFP® certification is one of the most respected financial planning credentials and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.
In addition to serving the financial planning needs of his clients, Tim analyzes investment research and implements trades and various investment strategies. “I have been an advisor for over 20 years and have seen a lot – I use those experiences to help guide myself and to relate to my clients.”
Tim trained in New York City, where he worked 12-hour days. That dedication and effort has stayed with him throughout his career. He is usually one of the first into the office and the last to leave.
Tim joined Raymond James in August 2019. Previously, he was first vice president of wealth management for UBS Financial Services in Birmingham, Michigan, and a second vice president of wealth management at Smith Barney in Southfield, Michigan. He began his career in 1996 as a financial analyst at Smith Barney in New York, and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. John’s University.
Tim has always been a people person who loves numbers, so it was a natural progression to be a financial advisor. He loves his job because of the positive impact he can have on people’s lives.
Tim grew up in New Baltimore, Michigan, and now lives in Birmingham with his wife, Susana. They have two children, Timothy Jr. and Gabriella, and their dog named Patrick. In his free time, Tim enjoys boating, skiing and spending time with his family.
