Eric has worked in the family practice since 1995, although the plans for partnership with his father began when he was in high school. Eric has served as Branch Manager of the office since 2002, serving our clients as a fiduciary. His extensive experience has resulted in the development of processes enabling us to help provide consistent, high quality service to our clients as we guide them towards personal goals.
In addition to being licensed to conduct business in securities related products, he also is licensed in North Carolina for Life, Health and Long-Term Care insurance. Eric earned the industry recognized CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Prior to joining Raymond James Financial Services, Eric spent several years in the banking industry.
As a result of his many years of experience, Eric has been asked periodically to comment on the economy and markets and has been quoted in local media outlets.
As an office that cultivates multi-generational relationships, Eric enjoys the long-term relationships and the mutual trust and respect developed when helping people through the process of planning for, adjusting through and achieving long-term life goals. Through the process he navigates clients through challenging markets, helping them understand the opportunities that exist as well as the risks that must be considered in varying market conditions.
Most rewarding of all is experiencing a client’s long-term goals come to fruition - When the child sets off for college, when the client celebrates retirement and then enjoys the desired lifestyle achieved during retirement, and finally, when a client is comforted in knowing plans for the desired legacy are in place.
A loyal Pirate, Eric earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from East Carolina University.
Eric spends his free time with his wife Jenny and their son. As a lifelong Raleigh resident, over the years he has volunteered for several organizations such as his church, the NC Museum of Art and the NC Museum of History. He is an avid reader, loves coaching his son’s soccer team, watching college sports, spending time outdoors, working in the yard and traveling.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
