• Eric Hilliard, CFP®

    Branch Manager

Eric Hilliard began working in the family practice in 1995, although the plans for partnership with his father can be traced back to high school. Eric has served as Branch Manager of the office since 2002, serving our clients as a financial advisor. His extensive experience has resulted in the development of processes enabling us to help provide consistent, high-quality service to our clients as we guide them towards personal goals.

In addition to being licensed to conduct business in securities related products, he also is licensed in North Carolina for Life, Health and Long-Term Care insurance and earned the industry recognized CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERcertification. Prior to joining Raymond James Financial Services, Eric spent several years in the banking industry.

As a result of his many years of experience, Eric has been asked periodically to comment on the economy and markets and has been quoted in local media outlets.

As an office that cultivates multi-generational relationships, Eric enjoys developing long-term mutual trust and respect as he helps people journey through planning for, adjusting through and achieving long-term life goals. Through the process he navigates clients through challenging markets, helping them understand the opportunities that exist as well as the risks that must be considered in varying market conditions.

One of Eric’s greatest professional joys is witnessing the happiness and emotional satisfaction of a client whose long-term goals have come to fruition; when a child sets off for college, a client celebrates retirement and then enjoys their dream-of retirement lifestyle, and finally, a client is comforted in knowing plans for the desired legacy are in place.

Eric earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from East Carolina University. He remains a loyal Pirate cheering East Carolina sports teams. Additionally, he supports the school financially and stays abreast the universities’ growth as his alma mater continues educating younger generations.

Personally, Eric is also an avid reader, and loves coaching his son, Everett’s soccer team. Eric, his wife Jenny and Everett enjoy snow-skiing together in the winter, time at the beach during the summer, cheering their favorite sports teams together, traveling and creating new memories.

As a lifelong Raleigh resident, over the years he has volunteered for and supported many local organizations including his church, the NC Museum of Art and the NC Museum of History.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization's initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
