• Shannon Morphew

    Registered Client Service Manager

Shannon Morphew has more than 16 years of experience in the financial services industry and holds a Series 7 securities license. She assists Lisa with planning and investment matters and helps ensure an efficient workflow by managing operational and administrative needs. Before joining Raymond James in 2009, Shannon was a registered sales assistant at Lincoln Financial Advisors and JPMorgan Chase. She earned a bachelor’s degree in financial planning from the University of North Texas, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Originally from a small town in Illinois, Shannon first came to Dallas for college but has made it her home. She likes the big-city feel of downtown and the friendliness of the neighborhood where she lives with her husband, Phillip, and daughter, Madelyn.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading and cooking, trying new recipes, and baking holiday treats like chocolate-covered pretzels. She also volunteers in the community and encourages Madelyn to join her, to understand the need out there and take the opportunity to give back. For example, they both volunteer at Operation Kindness, an animal adoption center. Madelyn loves animals; the family has two dogs and she wants more, so Shannon thought that helping out at an animal shelter made perfect sense. The two also are involved with the National Charity League, where mothers and daughters work together to serve the community.

At home and at work, Shannon lives the golden rule and also teaches her daughter to treat others as she would want to be treated. As a client service associate, Shannon knows she makes a difference, but sometimes says, “If I could go back to my younger self, I would honestly want to deliver babies. It’s different from what I do now, but I would still be helping people.”

Some people know Shannon is afraid of heights, and they might be surprised to learn that she once walked across a huge suspension bridge hundreds of feet above a river in Vancouver, Canada. But facing fear and accomplishment aside, for Shannon, at the end of each day, success is being happy, getting up every morning and being happy.
