Originally from Jackson, Wyoming, Afton moved to Big Sky, Montana in 2000. She later graduated from Montana State University with her bachelor's degree in business finance and minor in small business entrepreneurship.

Immediately following graduation Afton ventured to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a career in finance. A short year later, the mountains were calling and she moved back home to Montana.

Afton joined the Palisade Financial team in 2018 and she holds her series 7, 66, 9, & 10, as well as life, health and long-term care insurance licenses. She has earned the CRPC®, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, designation in addition to being a CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. By being certified by the CFP Board, Afton has taken the extra step to expand upon her nine years of industry experience to demonstrate her professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes highly demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.

While not in the office Afton enjoys the many activities that Montana has to offer. In the warmer month she likes to hike with her two dogs, Archer & Lana, float the river, camp, and archery hunt. During the winter months, she likes to be in the mountains snowboarding and snowmobiling. Afton enjoys spending time with her growing family and lives in Bozeman with her husband, Zach, and daughters, Ashten, Ava, & Scarlett.
