Jake Waddoups,
CFP®
Vice President, Wealth Management
Jake prides himself on his honesty, integrity and cheerfulness. His clients feel comfortable sharing their life’s work with him, and he is always happy to see them. He considers it his responsibility to help take the stress and worry out of life’s most important moments. He wants all of his clients to realize their dreams, believing that money is just one piece of the puzzle that allows one to live their best life.
Prior to joining Raymond James, Jacob was a registered representative at Vanguard and a vice president, senior financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Resulting from demonstrated competency in a range of financial services topics, he earned the esteemed Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation.
Since its founding in 1962, Raymond James has been guided by a bedrock principle: “The client comes first.” This was evident in its novel approach to the business of wealth, in which advisors and their clients worked as partners, creating long-term plans tailored to clients’ specific needs and long-term financial well-being. Jake shares this approach, using the diverse tools of finance to help his clients live their lives and pursue their goals with confidence.
On a day-to-day basis, Jacob works directly with high-net-worth families to create, monitor and maintain custom financial plans. He makes frequent touchpoints with all of his clients to ensure that their plans keep up with the changes and events in their lives. He takes care to ensure that each client understands their investments and knows where they are in their journey toward their goals.
He enjoys all of the outdoor activities Idaho has to offer and spending time with his family. Originally from Idaho Falls, he still lives there today with his wife, Stacey, and their children, Isaac, Walker, Ella, Rosie and Lyla.
