Allen is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional, a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and is also a Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. His main concentration is managing investment and retirement portfolios and retirements planning.

Allen has a bachelor of science degree from The United States Military Academy at West Point and has a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University. He enlisted in the Unites States Army at the age of 18 and served two years in Military Intelligence. He then received a Presidential appointment to West Point. Upon graduation from West Point, Allen served four years on active duty in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer with the 10^th Mountain Division and is airborne and ranger qualified.

Allen was born and raised in Wisconsin but has lived in New York since he got out of the Army. He is active in the local community and is the past president of The Goshen Rotary Club, Inspire, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County. He has been a financial advisor for over 25 years. Allen is married to his wife Elizabeth for over 35 years. He has four grown children, a Physician, a Scientist, a Nurse, and a West Point Cadet.
