Michael A Bentley,

WMS Vice President, Investments

Mike finds great fulfillment in implementing wealth strategies designed to help his clients realize the fruits of their hard work. He diligently applies a level-headed, efficient approach to financial planning to pursue the important goals in his clients’ lives.

Joining Raymond James, first in 2005, then again in 2016, Mike found that the firm’s culture of independence gave him complete freedom to offer objective, unbiased advice solely in the best interest of his clients. He values the firm’s client-first philosophy, and the fact that Raymond James was first to create a Client Bill of Rights.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Risk Management and Insurance from The Ohio State University, and during that time, interned at Mayadev Pension & Financial Services in Columbus. In between stints with Raymond James, Mike spent nearly seven years at JPMorgan.

Mike is from Lakewood and lives there today with his wife, Missy, and sons, James and Alex. In his free time, Mike enjoys gardening and landscaping, golf, Cleveland sports, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and giving back to his community.

Mike is active with LakewoodAlive, including title sponsorship of the Front Porch Concert Series, and chairs the Development Committee, as a board member. He also serves on the board of directors for The Clifton Club and The Lakewood Foundation. He is a past board member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation. He also spent time volunteering his talents to the City of Lakewood’s Foundation Planning Taskforce, which helped create the Healthy Lakewood Foundation. He also was appointed to Citizen’s Advisory Committee, which helps allocate Community Development Block Grants for the betterment of those most in need.
