    Registered Principal
    CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

Joanna Boynton is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Originally from Gainesville, Florida, Joanna was fortunate to meet her future husband while attending the University of Florida. She and Ben both successfully graduated with their B.S. in Business Administration with majors in Finance. After they married, they decided to reside in Wellington, Florida, where Ben grew up, having a history of four generations in his family within the community. They currently live in Loxahatchee with their two children, William and Catherine, their Sheltie, Bentley, and a small herd of purebred Hereford beef cattle. Joanna enjoys spending her time with her family, occasional painting, and always seems to find numerous outdoor projects in their pasture.

Together, Joanna and Ben own an independent Raymond James Financial Services branch office in Wellington, Florida, where they have practiced financial planning since 1997. The Boyntons are fortunate to employ incredible individuals who work with them in a team atmosphere to help manage the affairs of their clients and the office. They credit the dedication and commitment of the team as part of the reason why the branch, for many years, has been named to the Raymond James’ Chairman’s Council*. Members of the Chairman’s Council are recognized as the top tier of the firm’s advisors, which is limited to only a select few. Ben and Joanna are proud to be amongst the top of all independent offices within Raymond James Financial Services, based on assets under management.

In addition to building a successful financial planning business, Joanna has been highly committed to community service and has served as part of numerous organizations throughout the years. In recent years, Joanna has sought to focus her time away from some of the extracurricular community involvement in order to be a part of the many activities her children are involved in. Prior to that, she served as co-chairwoman of the Wellington Community Fitness Run & Walk; was the President of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce (currently name the Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce) with over 800 members; served on the Board of Directors for six years and currently remains involved as a Trustee. Joanna also served multiple years as Board Chairman for the Chamber’s foundation, the Palms West Community Foundation. Through her involvement with the Palms West Chamber of Commerce, Joanna worked with other local leaders to establish an annual luncheon event, Farm City, to bring together agricultural leaders with business and community leaders. The luncheon has transformed to a panel discussion, where environmental and agricultural leaders come together, in an effort to increase awareness across various perspectives on topical issues pertinent to agriculture in Palm Beach County.

Joanna has served on the boards of various organizations including the Palms West Division of the American Heart Association (as President), the Florida Philharmonic, the Cultural Trust, and the Boys & Girls Club of Wellington. Internationally, both Joanna and Ben have visited Kenya to volunteer and experience the mission of the Street Children’s Assistant Network of Nakuru (SCANN). SCANN provides hope and rehabilitation for children living on the street, who may be as young as 5 years old. They provide them with a home, food, clothing and education. Currently, Joanna sits on the Board of Directors for the Wellington Community Foundation, where they strive to better the lives of those in most need in within the community – particularly seniors and children.

In June 2009, Joanna and Ben were honored to receive the Frank T. Gladney award that is presented annually to local citizens who best exemplify unselfish dedication through the devotion of time, energy, and numerous contributions toward the betterment and future of our community. The Boyntons were especially flattered to be the first couple to receive this recognition. Joanna has also been a long-term member of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce and was awarded, along with Ben, Man & Woman of the Year in 2006.
