Chad Danforth,

CEPA® Branch Manager Senior Vice President, Investments

If you are reading this bio page, it is most likely because someone you know (and who cares about you) thought that working with me might be a good idea. If you are ready to put a plan in place to achieve your goals, then they might just be on to something….and perhaps it’s time we talk.

Are we a good match?

The honest answer is “that depends”. I work with clients at many stages of their careers and those who are ready to enter retirement. My clients are professionals and executives in the mid to late stages of their careers, business owners, and retirees. Clients I work with come from different professions and are in different phases of their career, but they all share the common desire to put a plan in place to achieve their goals. If this sounds like you then let’s talk.

About Me

I began my career in the financial service industry in 1994 and I have been working with clients to help achieve their goals ever since. For me, the best part of being a financial advisor is the close relationships I have developed with my clients and the profound impact of assisting each one of them realize their goals. Everyone has their own unique story of where they have been and where they are going. As an advisor, I love that I get to have an impact on the “where they are going” part of a client’s journey. I enjoy learning what makes my clients successful, what keeps them up at night, and what gets them out of bed in the morning. These stories not only shape where they have been but also where they want to go.

I spent my childhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After graduating from Bradley University, I moved to the Chicago area to pursue my career in the financial service industry. My wife Janet and I were married in 2008 and we have been blessed with two amazing children. We currently reside on the north shore of Chicago in Mettawa. At Raymond James, I serve as the Branch Manager for the north shore offices of Chicago. Before joining Raymond James in 2018, I worked for years with some of the country’s wealthiest families at Citi Private Bank. Prior to the bank, I ran the equity trading desk for a Chicago brokerage firm where I traded the firm’s capital as well as served as a market maker in several NASDAQ securities.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and coaching my kids in various youth sports. I am an active volunteer with several local community organizations including Northern Illinois Food Bank, Chicago Cares, and Chicago Urban Debate League. If I had to choose a second career it would be to pursue my love of golf as a professional golfer… however, my perennial double-digit handicap seems to say “don’t quit your day job”. If you are interested in learning more about how we can work together or are ready to start your financial plan, let’s talk.

Raymond James is not affiliated with the above organizations and/or charitable causes.
