Shannon Bennett,
CFP® Managing DirectorSenior Vice President, Investments
For more than 15 years, Shannon has been connecting and collaborating with clients to help them ensure all the elements of their financial lives are working in concert to serve their personal interests and objectives.
“Relationships are at the heart of what we do,” Shannon explains. “I love to have the happy and easy conversations, but sometimes what is more rewarding is addressing the difficult issues that really keep our clients up at night. We talk about real life circumstances and aspirations, so we understand what matters to them and can develop a plan that is designed to help them to feel more confident about their future.”
This comprehensive, integrative approach means Shannon and her team use a broad range of tools and resources, including investment management, insurance and beyond, to create customized solutions that are designed to help meet clients’ needs.
In addition to her broad view and experience, Shannon has a particular passion for research. She enjoys staying abreast of the constantly changing investment markets and liaising with analysts and independent investment managers regarding the best options for clients.
Shannon has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Women’s Advisory Council of Raymond James and the Technology Advisory Council of Raymond James.

When I’m not in the office, I love to be outdoors – whether I’m gardening in my backyard or hiking around the beautiful landscapes of northern California. I also love to cook. I try to grow a lot of our own food in our raised vegetable beds. I’ve found gardening relaxes me and always puts a smile on my face.
My husband, John, and I are avid travelers, and every other year we plan a trip to see something in nature. We’ve visited the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and Africa, and are excited for more adventures to come. I grew up traveling with my parents and grandparents and am passionate about meeting people from other cultures around the world. We also enjoy traveling closer to home, whether exploring California wine country, visiting Lake Tahoe or going on short trips around the U.S. I love that photography allows me to capture some of the incredible moments we’ve experienced on our travels.
Giving back has become an important part of achieving balance in my life. Two organizations in particular that are near and dear to my heart are the Marin Humane Society and Veteran’s PATH, which focuses on building a community for veterans and offers them wellness and meditation tools.
Most of all, I like to do things that make me smile and laugh. Spending time with our families is a big part of that. John and I have lots of nieces and nephews between us, and we love to watch them grow and learn.
