Scott begins each client relationship by listening and understanding, and then helping his clients achieve their financial goals by applying his 48 years of financial services experience.

His career in the financial services industry began back in 1974 and has included stints with well-known companies such as Dean Witter and Shearson Lehman Brothers.

He has made many key accomplishments along the way. He served on the National Board of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) from 1985 to 1987. As vice president at Underwood Neuhaus & Company, he launched its financial planning department. At Pauze Swanson Capital Management Company, an investment firm he co-founded, he launched the first of its family of mutual funds.

In 1995, Scott joined Raymond James as a vice president and financial planner and has been hard at work applying his knowledge and experience to help his clients.

Scott is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and has served on the ethics and legal committees of the National Board of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners™. He has also been an active member of the Financial Planning Association and its predecessor organization, the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.

In his commitment to improving the lives of Texans in Harris County, Scott has served as chairman of the Board of Advisors to the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, a nonprofit organization. In 2001, he was awarded Civic Volunteer of the Year for Harris County by then Harris County Judge Robert Eckels.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization's initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
