Josh Haggerty, CFA brings 25 years of investment experience to our team and will apply his knowledge to help clients evaluate investment strategy, portfolio management and financial planning decisions. Josh began his career with Vantage Consulting Group in 1998 where he was responsible for co-managing a long/short hedge fund. In 2005, he joined the CHOICE Asset Management team of BB&T Scott & Stringfellow, which later became Sterling Capital Management’s Equity Opportunities Group (“EOG”). During his tenure, Josh was Portfolio Manager for the SMID Opportunities portfolio, a concentrated equity portfolio investing in U.S. small and mid-cap stocks. He also served as the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Special Opportunities strategy, one of two flagship strategies at EOG, with peak assets under advisement in the strategy near $3 billion. Josh holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and received his B.B.A. in Finance from James Madison University. Josh lives in Virginia Beach, where he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
