Just out of high school and looking for her next move in life, Betsy began a career in the mortgage industry as a customer service representative at CitiMortgage. Betsy quickly learned the business and found success in supporting clients through their financing journeys. She always enjoyed her client facing time and made sure that her clients understood important mortgage concepts such adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs), often needing to clarify that an ARM wasn't just a human appendage.

In 1993, Citi recognized Betsy for her leadership and promoted her into a management role where she became an integral part of the Salmon Smith Barney merger support team. In this role, Betsy supported the roll out of Citi mortgage products to over 1,200 Smith Barney financial advisors. Betsy' s oversight of multiple processing sites, assistance in creating support team efficiencies and her dedication to top-notch client service help support over $6.5 billion of mortgage loan originations in one year.

In 2022, Betsy recognized that it might be time to move away from the volatile mortgage industry and made the decision to join Hake Investment Group as their Client Services Associate. In this role, Betsy looks forward to building her expertise of the investment industry while supporting the many long-term relationships the team has built over the decades.

Outside of the office, Betsy is most proud of raising Nico and Bo as a single mom. Nico is a recent Cum Laude graduate and is currently working in the marketing field as an Account Executive. Bo serves as a Lance Corporal in the Marines Reserves and is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree in business administration. As time allows, Betsy loves spending time with friends and family, will always take time to throw a few jabs at her boxing instructor, loves to serve up some Italian gravy for any hungry soul that finds their way into her kitchen, and loves to spoil Blaise, her 9-year-old Maine Coon cat.
