With offices in St. Louis, St. Petersburg, and Tampa, Thomas Hake and his team provide investment management and financial planning services to clients throughout the United States. Since 2015, Hake Investment Group has proudly aligned with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Tom has over 30 years of financial services experience and learned the investment business at a very early age. In fact, Tom’s parents taught him the alphabet by helping him learn to file mutual fund statements for his financial advisor father, Joseph Hake. By the time Tom started middle school algebra classes, his experience in solving complex investment rate of return for his father’s clients set him up for a successful career in financial services, and a lifetime of straight As in math and calculus.
In 2019, Raymond James appointed Tom the National Co-Chair for the Raymond James Pride Financial Advisors Network. As founder of this inclusion network, Tom leads Raymond James in support to clients, financial advisors, and allies who identify within and serve the LGBT+ community.
Tom has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to the LGBTQ+ community by many organizations. Awards Tom has received include the 2021 Tampa Bay Business Journal Business of Pride OUTstanding Voice recognition, the 2021 Think Advisor magazine “Luminary Voice” for the LGBTQ+ community, the 2019 Investment News See It Be It Role Model, for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion, and most importantly the 2021 Raymond James “Beacon” award, given to inspirational leaders of Raymond James Advisor Inclusion Networks.
Tom spends his time in both St. Louis, Missouri and St. Petersburg, Florida where he enjoys supporting the outstanding cultural institutions in both regions, while also changing Florida sunsets. Tom enjoys any chance to travel, always making sure to visit clients, family, and friends throughout the country.

Submission requests go out to the Members of the Pride Financial Advisors Network (PFAN), the individuals with the most votes get reviewed by the PFAN Advisory Council
Members and they choose the award finalist. In 2021, 3 advisors were nominated, and 1 advisor was chosen as the finalist. 2021 Tampa Bay Business Journal Business of Pride - Voice: Submissions were reviewed the Tampa Bay Business Journal Editorial Board based on each nominee's ability to made a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community in the past year. All winners must be from one of the following counties: Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk or Sarasota. Out of more than 100 nominations, 13 were selected.
