John Odom is a financial advisor at Raymond James Financial Services, offering specialized knowledge in developing comprehensive, results-focused financial strategies to help clients build, preserve and transfer wealth. John has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry and is passionate about developing and maintaining the team’s long-term client relationships.

Along with his focus on creating strategies designed to guide his clients toward their goals, John, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, is dedicated to helping high-net-worth families navigate the challenges of successfully transitioning wealth as part of their estate investment plan. In addition, John works to build relationships with younger family members to help them understand the importance of investment planning and properly managing inherited wealth.

Prior to beginning his career with Wachovia (a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors), John graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in economics. During his academic career, John was a member of the National Association of Business Economics.

A Florida native, John met his wife, Brianna, in Minnesota, where he worked for five years to further his professional career. They recently moved to the greater Tampa Bay area to be closer to family. Away from the office, John enjoys spending time with Brianna and their children, Zoe and George, as well as woodworking, cheering on Florida State’s athletic programs, and playing with the family’s Goldendoodle, Ari.
