Scott L. Abee

AIF®
Senior Vice President, Investments

Scott strives on a daily basis to assist his clients as they work diligently to accumulate, preserve and transfer wealth through the generations. With an interest in financial services that began during his collegiate studies, Scott understands that the financial planning process is not a “one size fits all” venture, a belief that his decades-long career reflects. The vast resources of Raymond James and the experience of the Longleaf team are focused on this personalized approach when it comes to planning and investment management.

After graduating from Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in business and trust administration in 1986, Scott began his career as a financial consultant in Smithfield with Carolina Securities. Before joining Raymond James with Longleaf Wealth Advisory Group in 2015, Scott served as senior vice president with Davenport & Company for 14 years.

A Greensboro native, Scott has been married to his wife, Marie, since 1990. Together they have three children, Clif, Reese and Oksana. Active in his community, Scott is a member of Central Johnston County Rotary Club and has served on the boards of Harbor House of Johnston County, Southeast Raleigh YMCA, and Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. He is a former treasurer of Smithfield Rotary Club and Hayes Barton Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and vacationing on the North Carolina coast.
