A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and in the financial services industry since 2008, John uses his strong belief in giving back to his community as he works on a daily basis to help ensure his clients’ financial needs are taken care of. John focuses on creating an individual financial plan and understands that everyone’s situation is unique. He works to create a custom-tailored plan that not only fits his clients’ personal financial goals but is also understandable and attainable. Since situations and the financial world change, John works with his clients to review and make necessary adjustments to ensure that they are working towards satisfying their financial goals.

Prior to joining Raymond James with his team in 2015, John worked as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley and Davenport & Company since 2008. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. By voluntarily completing the CFP® Board’s rigorous certification process in 2012, John has taken an extra step to demonstrate his professionalism. As a CFP® professional, he has committed to meeting the board’s continuing education requirements and practicing with higher ethical standards.

Active in his community, John is a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church and has been a volunteer with Wake Relief and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. He has also served as vice president of TADS, an organization that raises money for dental mission projects in North Carolina.

John makes his home in Raleigh with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, William and Emily. In his free time, John enjoys golfing, fly-fishing and mountain biking.
