Q & A: Personally Speaking

  • Q. What is your favorite kind of trip? Why?
  • A. Anything that includes adventure and is truly unique – I want to experience the local culture, environment and people, not necessarily what is designed for tourists.
  • Q. What are your must-have travel items?
  • A. Boots, camera and a journal.
  • Q. How do you spend your time outside of the office?
  • A. Typically with my kids and my dogs, preferably outdoors, either traveling, exploring, reading or doing projects around the house.
  • Q. If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
  • A. Travel blogger.
  • Q. What’s the one thing that might surprise others about you?
  • A. I’m an extroverted introvert. I love talking to people and being with people, but when I’m done, I’m done. At that point, I need a little alone time to recharge.
  • Q. If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?
  • A. Scotland – and I’ll be doing just that summer 2022!
  • Q. What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without?
  • A. Hope.
  • Q. How do you define success?
  • A. Loving who you are – and no matter what you do, in all ways and all things, do it with integrity, humility and love.
