As a managing director and senior partner, Steven plays an integral role in helping The Moyer Group grow into such a well-regarded financial practice. Together with Mark Moyer, he continues to guide our growth – and the comprehensive services and resources we bring to our clients.
Steven is also thorough and thoughtful with the investment advice and financial planning he provides to each client. “I am dedicated to helping them plan for the goals that are important to them, such as enjoying a comfortable retirement and providing a legacy for their loved ones,” says Steven.
As a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Steven helps his clients prepare for what is probably the most important transition in their lives. He takes a very detailed approach to determining if clients are financially prepared for retirement and what sources of income can be used to fund their future lifestyle. Once in retirement, he helps with important matters such as providing a legacy for their loved ones, managing assets and cash flow, and planning their estate.
Steven has more than 20 years of financial industry experience. He joined our team in 2001 as a financial advisor before moving with us to Raymond James in 2022. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his degree in business administration
Dedicated to serving the community, he and his wife, Lori, volunteer with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Zanesville’s Knights of Columbus (Steven is a Third Degree Knight) and Bishop Rosecrans Athletic Boosters. Steven is also an active donor to Ohio State University’s James Cancer Hospital, the American Heart Association’s Heart Challenge, and the Muskingum Valley Old Timers Association.
Steven and Lori both grew up in Zanesville. They have three children, Scott, Beau and Olivia. Steven values the opportunity to work alongside his two children, Beau, who has been a financial advisor on our team since 2014, and Olivia who started with the team as a client service associate in 2024. During his leisure time, Steven enjoys exercise, home improvement projects, and spending time with family and friends.
