Mike’s interest in investing originated when he purchased his first stock in 1984 with money he saved from his summer employment. Mike will tell you, “While my friends were reading the sports pages, I was reading the business section and looking up stock symbols under the OTC column to see how much money I made that day.” Since his first stock purchase in 1984, Mike has remained an avid student of the financial markets.

In September 1998, after serving in the Marine Corps, Mike formally started his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. In 2008, he joined UBS as a senior portfolio manager and first vice president until 2018, when he founded Paladin Wealth Partners and joined Raymond James.

Mike leverages the significant planning experience he gained in the Marine Corps with his 30-plus years of investing to provide sound financial leadership to clients. He has extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals and their families, business owners and retirees regarding all aspects of their finances and investments, with a singular focus on helping them preserve what they’ve earned.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts in 1990, and his master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College. After graduating college in 1990, Mike served on active duty for eight years as an infantry officer and has been in the Marine Corps Reserve for the past 22 years, honorably serving his country in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Mike is a Major General and currently commands the 4th Marine Division.

Mike, who was born in Holyoke, lives in Southwick, Massachusetts, with his wife, Sandra. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, cycling and running as well as spending time with his family of seven children and three grandchildren.
