Wealth Advisor, RJFS

As a retired Major General in the United States Marine Corps, and owner and co-founder of Paladin Wealth Partners, Mike is responsible for providing the strategic direction for the firm and leading the practice’s financial planning and business development efforts. He also serves on the Paladin Wealth Partners investment committee and is a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM professional.

Mike’s interest in investing originated when he purchased his first stock in 1984 with money he saved from his summer employment. Mike will tell you, “While my friends were reading the sports pages, I was reading the business section and looking up stock symbols under the OTC column to see how much money I made that day.” Since his first stock purchase in 1984, Mike has remained an avid student of the financial markets.

Mike formally started his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in September 1998, after serving as an infantry officer for 8 years in the Marine Corps. In 2008, Mike joined UBS as a senior portfolio manager and first vice president until 2018 when he founded Paladin Wealth Partners and joined Raymond James.

Mike leverages the significant planning experience he gained in his 34-year Marine Corps career with his 40 years of investing experience to provide sound financial leadership to his clients. He has extensive experience helping business owners navigate the complex process of selling their business, and advising high-net-worth individuals and their families on all aspects of their finances and investments, with a singular focus on helping them preserve what they’ve earned.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in 1990, and his master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College in 2014. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2024 after 34 years of service (active and reserve) honorably serving his country in Iraq and in Afghanistan.

Mike lives in Southwick, Massachusetts, with his wife, Sandy. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, cycling and running as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren.
