As a child, R.J. developed a keen interest in all things related to finance and investments, thanks to his financial advisor father. He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School; then went on to graduate from Walsh College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Soon after, he followed his father’s footsteps and joined Raymond James as a financial advisor in 1994, focusing on retirement planning. He and partner Joe Saverino teamed up in 2008 to found Pilot Financial Group. The wealth management specialist now works with select families and business owners to customize tax-efficient strategies designed to help manage and preserve their wealth from their first job through retirement and beyond.

R.J. and his wife, Carolyn, live in Romeo and have three sons, Griffin, Ryan and Colin. The Detroit native has deep roots in the area and actively supports community efforts. When R.J. is not in the office or with his family, you can find him serving on behalf of Kiwanis Club of Clinton Township, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, De La Salle Collegiate Dad’s Club, Selfridge Base Community Council, Macomb County Chamber of Commerce and Italian-American Chamber of Commerce.
