Yesterday
esterday, all the trouble seemed so far away. Now it feels like it is here to stay, oh don’t you wish it was yesterday.
Suddenly, stocks are worth much less than they used to be. Panic selling’s hanging over me, oh I wish it could be just yesterday.
Why, they had to go and say “NO” they wouldn’t stay. They said something’s wrong and they longed for yesterday, oh, oh, oh
Yesterday, stocks were such an easy game to play. Now we need a place to hide away. Oh I believe in yesterday.
With apologies to John Lennon, this play on the Beatles song “Yesterday” was written on June 24, 2016 to mark the British vote to EXIT the European Union.
