Matt Skotynsky has a deep passion for impacting lives in meaningful ways. He leverages his knowledge and understanding of wealth management and finances to create powerful plans that help people enjoy life to the fullest at every phase. His clients know him as a man who values trust, understanding, and long-term relationships. Matt does everything within his power to expertly craft investment strategies that are thoroughly researched, carefully evaluated, and uniquely designed to fit each client’s vision for the future.
Matt’s mindful approach to finances comes from more than two decades of experience as a financial advisor, 14 of which he has served as a branch manager. He is a Registered Principal, a Raymond James Financial Advisor, and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ (AAMS®). As a seasoned professional, Matt also persistently pursues ongoing research and adheres to his fierce commitment to maintaining a strong understanding of the current market conditions in order to provide his clients with an informed, well-rounded perspective.
As a resident of Perrysburg for 40 years, Matt is very passionate about being involved in his community. He serves as a current member of the Perrysburg Rotary Club and the Perrysburg Boat Club. Matt is also the past trustee of the Way Public Library, and the past President of the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce.
Matt’s core value system in his professional life comes from his strong roots as a family man. He and his wife Lea have been married for 28 years and have two sons, Mitchel and Michael.
Matt’s son Mitchel now works as a financial advisor at Skotynsky Financial after graduating with a degree in Business Finance in May of 2019. Mitchel passed his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam in April of 2020 and is now working for two years to gain the required experience needed in order to complete the certification process. Mitchel has been a powerful addition to the team. Matt’s second son Michael is a junior at Colorado State University and is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When he isn’t working on homework, he is honing his skills as a rock climber.
Matt also gleans daily joy from his two Golden Doodles, Rocky and Blue, who often accompany Matt to the office. While they can’t offer any credentials as financial consultants, Rocky and Blue are skilled office greeters, and do everything they can to make sure clients and visitors come and go with a smile.
