Karl joined the team in 2013, becoming a Financial Advisor the following year, and earned his Certified Financial PlannerTM designation and his Accredited Investment FiduciaryTM designation in the years that followed. While working with Scottye’s team to help individual clients and families with their financial planning, Karl also specializes in group retirement plans for business owners, from 401(k)/403(b) to SIMPLE IRA plans. Throughout the year, he leads education meetings, conducts trustee reviews, and monitors/proposes changes. He also helps businesses launch new plans to help retain workers and expand their retirement savings opportunities.
Karl also uses his prior experience in TV news for group presentations, periodic web videos, and media appearances representing the team. In addition, he has been named a Board Member for the Arts Council of Midland, helping to organize different activities and opportunities for the Permian Basin.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Karl’s family relocated to North Texas in the early 1990s. He earned his B.A. in communications from Angelo State University, where he met his wife Jordan. They live in Midland with their son, and in their spare time, they travel, scour record shops for LPs, and ski.
