Al Valente has more than 25 years’ experience in financial planning and wealth management. He began his career working for Avatar Associates and Dean Witter in New York and as a Vice President with Smith Barney in New Jersey. Al has an MBA with a concentration in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Virginia Tech University.

Al holds the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Al’s approach is to partner with each of his clients to understand their needs and create a course of action that best fits their individual goals. At all times when providing Financial Advice to a client a CFP® professional must act as a fiduciary, and therefore, act in the best interests of their client. His specialties include investment management, 401(k) Plans, fixed income investing and insurance.

In 2008, Al became a founding partner of Bell & Valente, LLC; a Plano based practice which is independent of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. The advisors at Bell & Valente specialize in developing a comprehensive investment strategy specifically designed to meet each client’s individual needs.

As a community member, Al is actively involved in several organizations including currently serving as a incoming Board President of Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. He has previously served as a Chairman of the Board for the Plano Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of his local church, and Chairman of Community Relations Commission for the City of Plano. Al was a member of Leadership Plano Class of 2007-2008.

Al is married to his wife, Hilary, for 22 years, and they have three children.
