• Drew Hrubala, AAMS™

    Financial Advisor

Drew was aware of the financial advising profession since he was a young child, as his mom started in the industry shortly after he was born. He then started working part-time at Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies when he was in high school, and he has good memories of helping set-up the Spartanburg office in 2014. Throughout the years, he assisted with the many activities needed to run a small business, from setting up the printer to installing computer software, from organizing business receipts to setting up office furniture, from creating excel spreadsheets to analyzing investment holdings.

Drew excelled in math and analysis from an early age and was also extremely passionate about youth sports. He went off to college at the University of South Carolina and majored in Finance with a minor in Sports & Entertainment Management. While in college and upon graduation, Drew worked at State Farm Insurance Company, learning about property and casualty and life insurance, and gaining experience in business development and client service. Drew then had an opportunity to serve as a manager for a professional tennis player and spent a year traveling to more than 18 countries, gaining insight into the work and sacrifice required to become an elite athlete. When the time was right, he was given the opportunity to step into a Financial Advisor role with Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies, assisting all types of clients, and particularly leading the charge to further hone the company’s technical skills in working with professional athletes. Drew realized this profession was a great way for him to integrate his passion for finance, sports, and cultivating meaningful relationships, while making a positive impact on other people’s lives. Drew believes providing financial education and guidance to athletes with potentially significant yet unpredictable income during their playing days is vital to help ensure future financial security and the ability to build a meaningful legacy.

Drew conducts stock and industry research, performs financial and insurance analysis, and runs financial planning scenarios. He also takes the lead on the ongoing oversight and monitoring of the team’s curated list of investments.

He stays active with tennis, golf, basketball, and exercise. He enjoys attending sporting events (Go Steelers and Gamecocks) and spending time with friends and family – parents Mike and Beth, siblings Courtney and David, and the family pup Ryder.
