• Drew Hrubala, AAMS™

    Financial Advisor

Drew’s interest in investments and financial planning started when he was a young child, inspired by his mom’s career in the industry. As a high school student, he gained experience working part-time at Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies and fondly recalls helping set up the Spartanburg office in 2014. Over the years, Drew contributed to many of the company’s daily operations, tackling tasks ranging from setting up printers and installing computer software to organizing business receipts and conducting research on individual stocks.

Drew displayed a strong talent for math and analysis from an early age, coupled with a deep enthusiasm for sports. He attended the University of South Carolina, majoring in Finance with a minor in Sports & Entertainment Management. While in college and upon graduation, Drew worked at State Farm Insurance Company, where he gained knowledge in property, casualty, and life insurance, as well as business development and client services.

Drew’s career then took an exciting turn when he had the unique opportunity to serve as a manager for a professional tennis player. Over the course of a year, he traveled to more than 18 countries, gaining insight into the dedication and sacrifices required to succeed as an elite athlete. This experience deepened his understanding of the sports world and laid the foundation for his future work with athletes.

Drew eventually stepped into a Financial Advisor role at Jeter Hrubala Wealth Strategies, where he merged his passions for finance, sports, and building meaningful relationships. Drew earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialistdesignation, which covers topics such as the asset management process, investments, insurance, taxation, retirement, and estate planning. To further his technical skills in working with athletes, Drew also earned the Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ (SE-AWMA®) designation, which equips him with specialized knowledge to help high-net-worth clients in sports and entertainment capitalize on opportunities to preserve, grow, and transfer their wealth.

Drew’s responsibilities at the company include conducting stock and industry research and the ongoing monitoring of the company’s curated list of investments. He also performs financial and insurance analysis and evaluates financial planning strategies. Drew plays a key role in refining the company’s skills in working with professional athletes, helping them navigate the unique financial challenges they face. Drew is particularly interested in educating athletes on how to manage significant yet unpredictable income streams during their careers, ensuring long-time financial security and the ability to build lasting legacies.

Outside of work, Drew stays active with tennis, golf, basketball, and running. He enjoys attending sporting events – cheering on the Steelers and the Gamecocks - and spending time with friends and family.
