Adam Brown
Adam C. Brown, CRPC® Vice President & COO, BFWA Wealth Advisor, RJFS

While many of our clients are within five years of retirement or already retired, Adam likes to impress upon our younger clients that it’s never too early to begin planning for retirement – and that smart decisions made in their 20s, 30s and 40s can all impact how prepared they ultimately are for the retirement they envision.

Adam is responsible for the asset management of client accounts, including trades, security research and risk management. His focus includes conducting securities due diligence, implementing investment strategies, and developing retirement income strategies. He is also our point person on specialized topics such as financial literacy, senior housing and education planning.

Adam had an introduction to the financial industry at an early age, with both of his parents (Mike and Tammy Brown) working as financial professionals. Financial matters were often the topic of dinner conversations while he was growing up. So while his status as a paid member of the team became official in 2007, he’s grateful to have always been part of the family business.

Before joining Raymond James in 2020, Adam was a senior wealth strategy associate with the Mike Brown Financial Group team at UBS Financial Services for 13 years, and earlier served as a business analyst for Nestle Purina Petcare Company. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned a BSBA in entrepreneurship. He holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation and Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Adam was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to St. Louis in 1986 at the age of 2. He lives in Kirkwood with his wife, Vicki, who also works at the firm. They have two children, Michael and Cece. In his free time, Adam enjoys hiking, jazz, barbecue, wine, Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey and Carolina basketball. He also serves as a youth basketball coach and supports charitable organizations, such as Pork for the People.

Raymond James is not affiliated with the above organizations and/or charitable causes.
