Erika Wolek
Erika Wolek, CFP® Senior Financial Planning Consultant

Erika creates custom financial plans for each client after having conversations about what’s important to them and learning about what they want to accomplish. She enjoys sitting down with clients to review their plan and how it is designed to pursue their goals.

As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, her comprehensive planning strategies encompass many essential financial matters, including retirement, education planning, asset allocation, risk management, charitable giving and estate planning.

“The majority of people I spend my time with are looking to retire now or within the next five to 10 years,” Erika says. “It doesn’t matter who they are or what their profession. It’s a big life change and we help guide our clients through this transition.” Due to Ben Cohen’s background in theater, Erika also works with a lot of his clients who are in television, film and theater.

Erika’s mission is to empower clients through education. She wants them to be well-informed and have clarity about their financial situation and how the actions they take now may affect their future. Clients appreciate her positive attitude, particularly when dealing with financial situations that are potentially anxiety-inducing. She holds Series 7, 66 and life insurance licenses.

As a member of Raymond James’ Longevity Advisory Board, Erika is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest advances in retirement and longevity planning and takes part in the creation of resources for clients on topics such as healthcare, caregiving and legacy planning.

Erika joined our team and Raymond James in 2018. “My previous manager at UBS, Kim Jenson, left to become the chief operating officer of Raymond James’ Private Client Group. I highly respect her, which led me to take a closer look at Raymond James,” Erika says.

“I met with Ben, Michael and Jim, and I wanted to be part of the practice they worked hard to build. They were unlike any advisors I had previously worked with, and I found that their values aligned with mine. I really enjoy being part of their team.”

Previously in her career, she was a financial advisor and wealth planning analyst at UBS Financial Services. Before she entered the financial industry, Erika was a professional opera singer. She has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in music from Indiana University.

Erika is originally from Wellington, Florida, and today lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with her husband, Adam, and son, Wesley. In her free time, she enjoys golf and tennis, scuba diving, singing, going to concerts and attending the opera. She is an executive committee member for the organization Young Friends of Palm Beach Symphony.
