John joined Cohen Financial Management in 2023 and looks forward to working with our advisors, serving on the team’s investment committee, and bringing added value to our clients. His previous experience was managing strategies focused within the Energy industry as a Portfolio Manager for Energy Opportunities Capital Management and Orleans Capital Management.

John’s attraction to the role and joining the Cohen Financial team came as he says “after spending time around them, their cohesiveness and their enthusiasm to achieve success for their clients is contagious”. He is excited to bring his unique background and passion for wealth management to the team.

John is originally from Houston, TX, and currently lives in Austin, TX with his wife Katherine, their children Clayton and Camden and his black lab named “Spaghetti”. He enjoys yoga, running, discovering new music, attending concerts and is a self-proclaimed sports nut. He is a Member of the Stewards of the Wild Austin, TX chapter which is a young adult’s charitable organization that supports the activities and efforts of Texas Parks & Wildlife.
