Thomas Dedrick is a distinguished financial professional with over four decades of expertise in wealth management. He provides strategic financial guidance tailored to the unique needs of his clients, assisting them in navigating complex market conditions. His practice is founded on principles of integrity, trust, and a commitment to fostering long-term relationships built on respect and personalized service.

Mr. Dedrick commenced his tenure at Raymond James in 2014, following an accomplished career at Merrill Lynch, where he was recognized as the longest-serving advisor in the Tuscaloosa office. He was drawn to Raymond James for its client-first philosophy, which aligns seamlessly with his approach to financial planning-treating clients with the same car e and consideration as extended family.

A graduate of Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Mr. Dedrick distinguished himself as a formidable athlete, earning accolades for his achievements in football before signing with the Seattle Seahawks. His contributions to collegiate athletics led to his induction into Morris Brown's Football Hall of Fame, and he has since been recognized for Distinguished Achievements in Business. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and holds the Wealth Management Specialist designation. Additionally, he is an Investment Management Consultant and has served as a Registered Player Financial Advisor for the National Football League.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Dedrick is actively engaged in philanthropic and community service initiatives. He serves on the board of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Alabama Intercollegiate Athletics Committee, and he recently completed a two-year term as a member of the Raymond James Executive Council. His commitment to civic engagement is further demonstrated by his leadership roles within numerous organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, Girl Scouts, the Tuscaloosa Transit Authority, The Chamber of Commerce, and the American Red Cross. His extensive service includes an 11 ½-year tenure on the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees, where he held the position of vice chairman and chaired the athletic committee. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and 100 Black Men of West Alabama.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and raised in nearby Sawyerville, Mr. Dedrick returned to his hometown, where he resides with his wife, Angelita. His two sons work alongside him in his professional practice, continuing his legacy of excellence. In addition to his career and community involvement, he finds great fulfillment in spending time with his five grandchildren and enjoys hunting and fishing at his farm.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

The Investment Management Consultant title is awarded to those who complete the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting program.
