Monica is the newest member of the Hendel Wealth Management Group team as is the first trusted point of contact for our clients as the Receptionist. In this position, Monica is responsible for relationship management and assisting with client-related services. She takes pride in being part of the Hendel team and is delighted to ‘work with an amazing team of positive and intelligent professionals.’
Monica—who considers herself resilient, resourceful and creative—is an exceptional poet, published author and former contributor to The Savannahian. However, her creativity does not end there. She is involved in the performing arts and has been recognized through various awards including first place in the Strawbridge Art Competition and third place in the Space Coast Art Festival; and received a nomination for Best Punk Band at Savannah Connect, all during her time residing in Georgia before relocating back to New York.
Monica, who received her associate degree from Eastern Florida State College, is an avid supporter of the American Red Cross. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising her three beautiful children, Alexander, Anthony and Janie as a single mother. She believes in and is inspired by a quote from Neil Gaiman, that “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
