Rich joined the Hilltop Wealth Management of Raymond James team from Merrill Lynch in 2012. In his role as Business Development Manager, he focuses on identifying individuals and families looking for the in-depth planning and investment analysis the Hilltop team can help provide. His goal is to leverage the collective strengths of the Hilltop team to provide a dynamic and comprehensive client experience.

As a "Caterpillar kid", Rich spent his first grade school years in Geneva, Switzerland, and graduated from high school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Cat Diesel Power runs through the family veins and he is proud (and amazed) at what the company has become. In between assignments overseas, his family always called Washington, Illinois, home—and still does today.

Rich is very involved in the Washington community. He serves as Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and as a Commissioner for the Washington Planning Board. He has served as Church Council President for St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, in addition to serving as stewardship chairman and co-chair of the We Say Yes building project. After many years of coaching youth soccer and basketball, he now enjoys helping out with the High School Band Invitational and other great high school events.

Rich and his wife Penny have been married for 22 years and have been blessed with three great kids: Richie III, Chloe, and Nina. In his free time, he loves cheering on the Panthers and the Illini (B.A. Speech Communication 1988), spending time at the family lake home, and watching his kids grow up.
