As a wealth management specialist, Cliff helps his clients by customizing financial plans designed to achieve the goals they have for each important stage of their lives, including retirement. He blends common sense and a long-range focus to help each client feel comfortable with their financial and retirement goals.

Drawn to the profession because of the opportunity to help people, Cliff has spent over 25 years as a professional in the financial services industry here in Kalamazoo, beginning his career in 1993 as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities. He then spent six years as senior vice president of investments at NatCity Investments before joining Raymond James in 2005 due to the firm’s client-first philosophy.

Cliff holds Series 7 and 65 licenses as well as life and health insurance licenses. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kalamazoo College and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Georgia. Cliff has been recognized as a member of the Raymond James Chairman’s Council from 2011 through 2022.*

Cliff strongly believes in giving back to his community. He is a former member of the City of Portage Investment Committee, past president and board member of the Voluntary Action Center of Kalamazoo, and past treasurer and board member of the Bach Music Festival. Cliff is currently serving as a member of the development committee at Ministry with Community, and as a treasurer of the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Cliff and his wife, Brenda, live in Kalamazoo. They have four children: Bryan and his wife, Jessie, live in Chicago where Bryan is a retired intellectual property attorney and stay at home dad; Keith is a doctor of anesthesiology and lives with his wife, Lisa, in Kalamazoo; Laurel is a doctor of surgery and lives in Kalamazoo with her husband Mike; and Phillip is an economics professor at the University of Wisconsin Business School, and lives with his wife, Riley, in Madison, Wisconsin. In his free time, Cliff enjoys traveling with Brenda and playing games with his family and six grandchildren – especially basketball in his sports barn.
