John focuses on financial planning, investment management and building Laguna’s five proprietary discretionary strategies.
He gains a solid understanding of each client’s personal financial situation and what they hope to accomplish before developing, implementing and monitoring a long-term financial plan for them. His goal is for each of his clients to have a clear sense of direction for pursuing the financial goals that are so vital to their future and family.
John is a member of the Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Program. He adheres to the SmartVestor Code of Conduct, and his performance is evaluated monthly through a survey provided by Dave Ramsey.
Before joining Raymond James in 2013, John served as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and a licensed personal banker at Chase Bank. He began his financial services career in 2004 as a credit manager with Wells Fargo Financial, and earned a BBA degree in marketing from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the lacrosse team and Phi Beta Lambda Future Business Leaders of America.
Active in his community, John is a member, mentor and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi, where he serves on the membership development committee. In addition, he serves on the board of the Coastal Conservation Association – Corpus Christi Chapter. He is a member of Nueces County A&M Club and First United Methodist Church of Corpus Christi.
Originally from Boerne, Texas, John lives in Corpus Christi with his wife, Courtney, and daughters, Gracie and Lillie. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, playing guitar, golfing, and spending time with his family.
