Bobby is dedicated to ensuring that the financial and investment recommendations he makes are based on what is best for each client. It fits with his philosophy as a devout Christian. “Having faith in Jesus, I want to be the best servant I can to my clients,” Bobby says. “He has blessed me to serve.”
Bobby’s faith opens doors for deeper conversations with his clients about personal life events, and helps cultivate close, trusted relationships. “A personal goal of mine is to be a strong advocate for my clients on a personal level, whether it’s encouraging them during a trying time or celebrating their victories in life,” Bobby says.
Whether he is serving business owners or people preparing for retirement, Bobby devotes the time to thoroughly understand each client’s situation, so that all financial decisions are designed to help them confidently pursue their goals.
He also engages in continuous follow-up throughout the year to discuss any changes in his clients’ lives or in the market. His objective is to help ensure that even when the markets are volatile, that their plan is still on track.
As a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Bobby is thoughtful and thorough in determining if clients are financially prepared and what sources of income can be used to fund their future retirement lifestyle. Once in retirement, he helps with important matters such as providing a legacy for their loved ones, cash flow, asset management and estate planning.
Bobby is also a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor who works with company retirement plans regarding their ERISA plan investment management and fiduciary responsibilities.
Bobby founded Lantern Wealth Management of Raymond James with Jay Palmer in April 2022. “Raymond James has the quality standard that my clients and I are looking for,” Bobby says.
Previously, Bobby was a Senior Financial Advisor and Vice President at Merrill Lynch in Fredericksburg, where he worked for more than 10 years. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
Bobby is originally from Orlean, Virginia, and now lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with his wife, Erin, and children, Robert, Juliette, Daniel and Henry. He enjoys growing in his faith every day through reading the scriptures, prayer and fellowship with his wife, kids and friends. He has served as a Board Member of Fauquier Habitat for Humanity and as President of the Fauquier Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
