Jennifer I Napper,

CFP®, CDFA® Vice President, Investments

Jennifer’s passion for financial planning was born from a personal family situation. When her father was ill, he needed a lot of daily care but had little financial resources to fund. His loss motivated her to learn all she could to protect her family’s future.

Jennifer left a successful career in high-tech sales and marketing to pursue her dream of becoming a personal financial advisor. She chose Raymond James for the extensive resources and the firm’s unwavering commitment to a client-first culture—completely in line with the values she holds.

Jennifer specializes in working with individuals and families with current and upcoming complex life transitions—such as retirement, inheritance, job change and divorce. Jennifer uses her deep industry experience and financial insight to assist her clients as they work toward their goals, make smart decisions about their money, and design actionable steps to help them clarify their objectives and then set out on a course to achieve them.

As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Jennifer has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA), Jennifer specializes in financial issues specific to divorce.

Jennifer has taught financial planning workshops at prominent companies in the Bay Area on topics such as retirement planning, investment strategies, Social Security, healthcare in retirement, estate planning, college funding, women’s finances, and financial planning for the LGBTQ community.

Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and her master’s degree from Golden Gate University. She is a member of the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts, Collaborative Practice East Bay, and the East Bay Estate Planning Council.

Originally from the Bay Area, Jennifer makes her home in Walnut Creek with her husband, David, and their teenage daughter. When she’s not in the office, Jennifer enjoys adventure travel, hiking with her dog, and cheering on her daughter at her basketball games.
