We have an established process for tailoring a financial plan that fits each client’s situation and invest in a manner that reflects their objectives. It all begins by understanding our clients as investors, and as people. Here is a brief synopsis:
An opportunity to know one another
We begin with a conversation, sitting down with a blank notepad and a pen to gain an understanding of each client’s goals and needs, financial status, investment history, risk tolerance and expectations. Additionally, we explain our investment philosophy and how it fits with their overall financial picture.
Our goal is to determine if we are a good fit for one another and to establish a comfort level for working together. This is why the initial phase may involve not just one, but multiple meetings. Once we are comfortable and ready to proceed, we open the accounts and initiate all steps for moving ahead.
Designing personalized plans
After analyzing and evaluating the information shared and building a financial plan, we meet, answer any questions, make any necessary adjustments and outline the steps for implementation. This step may include collaborating with our clients’ accountants and attorneys.
Putting plans into action
Once approved, we implement the plan. This involves the selection of specific account types, investments and optional services, and the handling of all necessary paperwork.
After 30 days, once we have invested the assets, we schedule a meeting to review what we have done to date and also review any paperwork, trade confirmations or statements clients have received – to make sure they are fully informed about the details of their account.
We monitor progress relative to defined objectives and recommend changes when needed. We accomplish this by providing ongoing reporting of account activity and by conducting periodic reviews.
Our intention is to meet on a regular basis, quarterly or semiannually to review progress and keep clients informed on what we have done and how our investment process works. As a team, we are always available to meet if any questions or needs arise.
