As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Jim has completed a rigorous CFP®certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.
He is ever mindful of the trust that his clients place in him in investing and managing their assets for themselves and their loved ones – and is continuously motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
Before joining Raymond James in 2011, he spent 15 years as a financial advisor and partner with Edward Jones; four years as a regional economic development representative for the Office of the Governor of Ohio; and four years as administrative officer mortgage backed securities for Chemical Bank of New York. Before embarking on his career, he earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.
Jim has served his community in many capacities, as well. He is a past president of Lions Club, director of the Buckeye Valley Building Industry Association and a member of the Licking Memorial Hospital Development Council. He has also devoted time to volunteering at Faith on 8th, a faith-based homeless mission in Columbus.
Originally from Newark, Ohio, Jim and his wife, Beth, now live in Central Ohio, where they raised their children, Adrienne and James. In his free time, Jim enjoys fly fishing, hiking, kayaking and participating as a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
