Sara Qazi

Sara Qazi,

CFP®, CEPA Senior Vice President, Investments

Sara focuses on strategic wealth planning for entertainers, artists, entrepreneurs and studio executives. As a former music manager and entertainment agent, she translates her experience of managing artists' careers to her current work in helping them make smart choices about their money.

“The financial lives of those in the entertainment and music businesses are best served by a financial advisor who understands how these businesses tick,” Sara says. She considers the ‘total’ client, including the structure, sources and timing of their earnings, taxes, lifestyle, industry trends, and the social, mental and physical demands of an entertainment career.

By applying her nearly 30 years of experience in both the financial services and entertainment industries, accessing leading edge equity research, and working closely with portfolio managers, Sara confidently stewards her clients' capital. She specializes in building the family balance sheet, so her clients can focus on their family and careers.

Remaining a close confidant, Sara is called upon to counsel her clients on a full spectrum of issues beyond investments. “I suppose what I can do for clients is be the ally, the gatekeeper, the foreseer, and the future builder,” Sara says.

Most of her clients are very literate in their respective fields of business. However, the language and movement of markets are mainly a mystery, causing anxiety about the unknowns. Sara loves working with clients who are early to investing and have a life of decisions ahead of them. “It engages the advocate/teacher sensibility in me. Seeing a client grow and evolve in their knowledge of financial matters is truly rewarding,” she says.

Sara is tuned into helping her clients channel their creative talent into the personal and financial contributions they want to make in the world. Over the past 15 years, she has focused on socially responsible investments in both the public and private markets, placing capital with leaders of enterprises who positively impact their workforce, promote gender diversity, wage equality and adhere to safe, sustainable environmental practices. A practicing conscious capitalist herself, Sara aligns values and investments to positive impact and financial outcomes.

Sara joined Raymond James in 2021. “I chose Raymond James for its culture, its comprehensive investment platform and its sense of responsibility towards the clients we all serve,” Sara says. “If I had to boil it down to a finer point, the Raymond James culture of inclusion and its entrepreneurial spirit impressed me.”

Previously in her career, Sara held the position of Sports and Entertainment Director in the Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment Division. Earlier, she spent four years at UBS as a wealth advisor to executives and entrepreneurs. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds Series 7, 63, life and health insurance licenses. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where she earned a degree in international business and French.

Sara finds great joy in helping and empowering others. “This career is uniquely suited to my authentic self. Working closely with people in all phases and stages of life and successfully strategizing and securing financial independence for them is the greatest accomplishment,” she says.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Sara has been a lifelong social activist, a vocal advocate of women’s health and financial literacy, the needs of underprivileged, at risk children and global human rights issues. On a personal note, she’s passionate about music, the creative spirit and loves to travel to far flung destinations.
