Alex serves a diverse roster of successful clients, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals and business owners, highly compensated professionals and their families, and those who have experienced a sudden wealth event.

His professional experience and academic background in analysis and problem-solving enable him to assess each client’s complete financial picture, resolve financial complexities and identify opportunities for moving forward.

He makes himself emotionally available to help his clients feel comfortable enough to have meaningful conversations about financial matters that often involve the most personal details of their lives.

“My goal for my clients is that they can articulate their financial and life goals and see how the wealth plan we build together is designed to help them realize their objectives and live fulfilling lives,” Alex says.

He provides seasoned guidance in critical areas of wealth management, including multigenerational planning, business strategies, risk management, portfolio management, charitable giving, education funding and liability management.

Alex creates customized strategies to address even the most complex challenges surrounding business transactions, estate planning, taxes, insurance, credit and income planning. He keeps a close eye on the markets, the economy and tax changes that may affect his clients’ financial situations, and revises his strategies accordingly.

The numerous professional credentials he has earned have put him in a position to skillfully address the specific needs and individual objectives of each client.

As a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Alex is thoughtful and thorough in determining if clients are financially prepared for retirement and what sources of income can fund their future lifestyles. Once in retirement, he helps them with important matters such as cash flow, asset management and legacy planning.

As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, he applies his extensive knowledge in key areas such as company retirement plan distributions, plan design and implementation, plan establishment and operation and fiduciary issues.

Alex is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor who works closely with owners of privately held companies to have value-added conversations around growth and exit. In addition, he is an Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorSM, providing Alex a strong base of knowledge regarding planning for the financial and medical end-of-life needs of domestic partners.

Alex has been working in the financial services industry since 2011. He and Jonathan Palmer moved the financial practice to Raymond James in 2018. Previously, Alex worked at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was a first vice president of wealth management. He holds an MBA from Bainbridge Graduate Institute, a Master of Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College.

In his free time, Alex enjoys running, forest management and working with timber, playing with his kids and going on family camping trips. He chairs the board of the New Discovery School in Seattle and is a past board member of the Washington Farmland Trust.
